HISTORY:
This
congregation was organized in 1870. The original wooden building
from 1872, the oldest church structure in the city of Rock Hill,
can still be seen in the central part of the nave, the chancel, and the
sanctuary.
The structure was enlarged in 1908 and 1965 and the new parish hall, offices, and educational wing were completed in 1991.
The Smyth Garden on White Street includes a Cremains Garden, and the Garth encloses our main entrance.
The Twelve Step building across the street is a ministry of Our Saviour and houses self-help groups for various addictions.
More details are available from the Church Office.
The
Archive Committee is developing a library of the Church's rich history.
We are continuing to update the page. We appreciate your patience and
suggestions. If you have any historical pictures or stories regarding
the church please contact us.
