SUNDAY SCHOOL
August-May

Sunday School is encouraged for all children from age 3 to the adult years. Sunday School offers a Pre-Kindergarten class for children ages 3 to 5.

The Elementary Classes are: Kindergarten/1st Grade, 2nd & 3rd Grade, and 4th and 5th Grade. Sixth Grade students are a part of our youth program. There is an infant nursery each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. so parents may participate in an adult class.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

Two Classes - 9:30 a.m. each Sunday
(August-May)

SCRIPTURE STUDY

Each Sunday particular scriptural passages will be presented in context and then discussed by the class with reflection upon the happenings in the world and in our lives. The goal of the class is for each person to build a better understanding of how scripture relates to their life, allowing them to build upon their existing spirituality and grow.
This class is led by Leland Greeley.

THE FORUM DISCUSSION CLASS

The Forum Discussion Class meets in the upstairs corner classroom of the education building.  This class chooses a variety of books for in-class reading (no homework!) and discussion.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH

We encourage all children K-3rd grade to join us and follow the crucifer upstairs at the appropriate time so noted in the bulletin.  The children will return at the Peace so that they can take communion with their families.

In Children’s Church parallels the church service with our its own hymns, readings, lesson (sermon), creed, litany of thanks, and the ever-popular passing of the Peace.  The children  learn about the parts of the service, the objects used, and the prayers and their meanings.  The children have an opportunity to discuss the readings and lesson, and their insights are amazing.  Children’s Church is the perfect opportunity for children to deepen their understanding of the ways we praise God through worship.

Not only is Children’s Church valuable for the children, but many parents say that they cannot worship without it.  If you are interested in helping with this important ministry, please contact Susan Costley.  She can schedule you once a quarter or more frequently.

TOOLS FOR BUSY LITTLE HANDS DURING WORSHIP

We ask that parishioners help us by making sure the basket is readily available for parents of young children.
