Youth grades 6-12 have opportunities to be involved in worship, faith formation, service-learning opportunities and fellowship throughout the year.  We like to pray and play together!

Wherever you are on your faith journey, you can find a place for community, friendship, fun and new life here at Our Saviour.  Join us – get to know us – stick around for a while!  I look forward to seeing you in church!

                           Peace, -MCY+

Most youth events and meetings take place on Sundays and Wednesday.  Some of our groups include:

M3: Message Minded Middlers
This is the short name for our Middle School Youth group at Our Saviour.  These young people meet monthly for Youth Group on the third Sunday of the month with volunteer youth leaders from the parish.  They also participate in retreats and service projects that provide assistance and care for the needs of God's children here in Rock Hill and around the world. This fall M3 will participate in Rolling in Rock Hill, the CROPWALK and the Mission and Outreach fundraisers at ChristmasVille! Youth grades 6-8, get connected and get in community with M3 at Our Saviour!

YCDC – Youth Confirmation Discernment Class
At the age of 16, young people may make a mature faith commitment to live out the baptismal vows made on their behalf. Young people entering the 10th grade may engage the question of how and why they would want to make this commitmenet through a YCDC program that includes class time, mentoring with an adult in the congregation, service participation and more. A bishop does not visit Our Saviour on an annual basis to preside over a confirmation service; however, there are opportunities each year within the region should a young person wish to be confirmed before the next scheduled bishop visitation.

S.O.S. means: Serving Our Saviour, Senior High Youth Group
Youth Grades 9-12 meet for a monthly dinner on the first Wednesday of the month with Mary Cat and youth volunteers from the parish.  This group of young people organizes around the desire to serve Christ by serving others. Through fellowship, group discussion, Bible study and reflection, this group joins hands and heart in service projects throughout the year. In 2010 we planned an alternative spring break mission trip to Washington D.C.

Diocesan Youth Ministry – The Diocese of Upper South Carolina provides great opportunities for young people to gather from around the diocese for fellowship, leadership development, mission and worship!  Middle School and Senior High youth have fall and spring retreats, summer camp and counselor training opportunities, and diocesan, provincial and national youth events and mission trip opportunities.  www.edusc.org/youth/
